This workshop is a deep dive into tracking, evoking and transforming pervasive shame cycles caused by a negative view of self and disowned attachment needs and fears. We will deepen your understanding of the core emotion of shame and demonstrate ways to help partners heal shame-driven disowned parts of self that lead to hiding, denial, projection, compensating masking behaviors and shaming of self and others. We’ll look at how we might inadvertently shame clients and explore blocks to effectively stepping in and holding partners when shame is activated.
